The History of SE-AN
SE-AN Precision Company was founded by the president Jang in Daegu, Korea in August 1989. As soon as the company was formed, we registered as a supplier for Hyundai heavy industries and started manufacturing steel weldments for construction equipment. In a short period of time, SE-AN has gained a reputation for the high quality and integrity of its products. We received Excellent Quality Supplier Award and the Best Supplier Award from Hyundai heavy industries in 1995 and 1998 respectively. We achieved ISO certification in 1998.
In addition to the construction equipment industry, we were able to register as a supplier for Doosan heavy industries in the power plant segment in 1991. Also, we registered as a steel weldment supplier for ROTEM in the railway vehicle industry in 2005.
In 2004, SE-AN incorporated and changed its name to SE-AN Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. Our effort to make better products was recognized and we awarded the excellent quality partner of the year by both Hyundai and Doosan in 2006.
In pursuit of technical advancement, we established our own R&D center in 2006.
With the growing customer base and production volume, SE-AN relocated the head quarter and main plant to Gyungsan and the original plant remained as the second plant in 2007.
Since the expansion of the company, we have received several notable awards from our customers as follows.
Excellent Quality Supplier Award from Hyundai heavy industries in 2009, 2012, 2014 and 2015.
Excellent Quality Supplier Award from Doosan heavy industries in 2011.
Excellent Quality Supplier Award from ROTEM in 2014.
In order to produce quality products, we have strived to enhance our capabilities by achieving reputable certifications as follows.
KEPIC-MN (Korea Electric Power Industry Code) in 2011.
EN-15085 (Certification for Welding of Railway Vehicles and Components) in 2014.
IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) in 2015
On May 20, 2013, we celebrated a production milestone of the 10,000 OEM machines built at the plant.
